I’m not sure about the rest of you, but I’m a little surprised that Band Camp is only a month away.
I have a couple items that I want to share with everyone.
First, the registration fee of $40 is late if you have not paid it. The camp fee of $125 is due on May 17. The Medical release form is also due on May 17.
Second, I want every student to be able to participate regardless of finances. Therefore, every year I award a couple scholarships. These range in value and the students who get them are notified by letter. (I will send those home this week.) If your family doesn’t get a scholarship and you feel you need assistance, please contact me individually.
Third, if you are a parent that would like to help at camp with the kitchen please contact Corine Sam. She has a limited number of spaces so don’t wait too long.
Fourth, I am going to be ordering the show shirts this week. If you as a parent would like one please email me the size you will need. I will be happy to get the parents one. Cost to you is $12 a shirt. Student shirts are covered in the fees already.
Last, we will be hosting a mattress sale in June (on the 21st) as a fundraiser. This is an easy one for us, since all we need to do is advertise. The company does the rest. There will be a parent and student meeting for the fundraiser on Wednesday June 4 at 7pm. The place will be announced later, since the band room will be under construction then. For every parent that comes to the meeting he will give us $5. So it would help us greatly if you just show up. Please put these two dates on your calendar now and plan to attend.
